I recently attended Gogo Philip‘s blogger event at their Cheshire Street store with Susan (from My Afro Comb, where we got to play with pieces from their new “Malibu” and “Rocks” collection. Although I usually go for more classic, timeless pieces, my favourite piece turned out to be the extravagant “Tupac”chunky golden chain with a dangling oversized palm tree from the “Malibu” collection. I don’t know, there’s just something very appealing about it. I could actually imagine myself wearing it, either by mixing with crazy clashing patterns or by toning it down and pairing it with a plain outfit to bring the focus onto the necklace instead. Regardless, these statement pieces will undoubtedly turn some head. Susan, ended up purchasing a pair of palm tree earrings from the collection. Aside from their store located a couple of minutes away from Brick Lane, Gogo Philip jewellery could also be found on their website and on ASOS(where I actually bought my Gold Chain Necklace, which I adore!) We left shortly afterwards to take advantage of the rare sunny evening to catch up and wander around the area. And of course, a trip to Brick Lane would not be complete without a visit to the Rough Trade photo booth and touristy shots in front of the graffiti walls.
