Hello, hello! So yesterday I went to Japan Matsuri, an annual event organised in Trafalgar Square that showcases Japanese culture, food and traditions. I don’t usually go to these crowded cultural festivals but the food line-up was seriously too convincing to miss out – the endless queues in front of each stall was a solid testament for that. Once I managed to sail through the long queues, I got myself a bowl of Unigi Donburi, which was so yummm and definitely worth the wait. Last time I went there I also tried some Takoyaki (fried squid balls?) which seemed to be a specialty considering that they were sold at nearly all the stall. We stayed there for a while to also catch a glimpse of the performances, which was surprisingly entertaining. My favourite part was when the crowd started mimicking the moves of some Japanese fitness exercise instructors on stage, it was slightly surreal, like standing in the middle of a giant flash mob!
