When I saw these leather sandals on Zara’s website, it was like love at first sight. I just HAD to get my hand on them. I don’t usually buy heels from Zara because the sizing always seems a bit odd for me, making the shoes rather uncomfortable. However, these ones fit perfectly, perhaps because of the open-toed design. When I first saw them, I thought that they had such an elegant Saint Laurent or Alexander Wang-esque quality to them with the minimalist and classic design. Little did I know, they basically look like dupes of the Saint Laurent Jane Sandals. However, I do much prefer the pointed toe on these. They are definitely some of the more classic pieces in my shoe collection and I’m sure I’ll be able to make a lot of use out of them!

I’ve been obsessed this Gogo Philip chain necklace that I got from ASOS recently. It looks like those pieces you’d find in vintage stores, attached to an exorbitant price tag. I’ve often toyed with the idea of purchasing one of those but have always been taken aback by the by their prices. Of course this one is not made of real gold – but it goes for a fraction of the price so I was really happy to buy it! It’s a perfect statement piece that isn’t too loud or out there but enough to give your outfit some character. There’s some sort of 90s quality to it that I really like. It’s really versatile as well, I can use it to compliment both formal and casual attires. The chunky chain design makes the necklace look rather heavy but in fact it doesn’t really weight much at all. I haven’t used it long enough to see whether the gold plating will fade but so far it seems quite sturdy and resistant. Definitely a good buy!

SoCapricious.com - Transparent, Clear, Invisible, Heels: Chanel, Zara, Maison Martin Margiela, ASOS, Pollini, TopShop, Charlotte Olympia, Jeffrey Campbell

I have been obsessed with transparent heels ever since I saw those Crystal Chanel boots going down the FW’12 runway. That’s why, when H&M announced their collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela, I was so excited to see that the invisible heel shoes included in the line. However, I’ve never had much luck with H&M’s shoe sizing, and this case was unfortunately not an exception. Whereas size 7 was too tight, size 8 was way too loose so I had to reluctantly let them go. That being said, I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pair of transparent heels. Whilst heel-less shoes have become increasingly popular, I always have a feeling that something is  blatantly missing from them. Transparent heels on the other hand, seem to strike a perfect balance between conventional and avant-garde. I just love how they give the illusion of standing on the tip of your toes.
